this guy i work with and am acquintances with said all babies are adorable when is aid some babies i find to be not as cute as others and then i went on to say that i dont want to have my own kids, and i want to adopt and this guy said he doesnt want kids, well a couple of co workers bring their babies in and this guy is always holding them, one baby in particular, and he even has their pics in his cell phone, why is he saying he doesnt want kids,?
he's 25 and his engagement got called off 6 months ago

It's simply a matter of responsibility. He can adore children in general, enjoy playing with them, etc. But, he's either not confident that he would be a good father at this point in his life, is not stable financially to handle on, or he is just immature and doesn't want to let go of his freedom as a man who can go where he wants/when he wants without having to worry about another little life. And who doesn't love playing with someone else's kids, and then be able to give them back when they start crying, need their diaper changed, etc.
Also, and this may be a long shot, but sometimes those who didn't have a close relationship with their parents may not ever be excited about being a parent one day, either. They never had that connection, therefore don't know how to relate to children.

Liking babies, wanting to hold them and show affection for them, has nothing to do with deciding whether you're going to raise them or not. Whole world of difference between babies you can hold and give back to the mother/father and a baby you're responsible for, to care for, and love for the rest of your life.
But my brother would do the same thing. He'd play with the babies and love to listen to them coo, constantly saying he wanted no children of his own. Even threatened to have his testicles tied so he'd never have any kids, before he seriously dated anyone he might want to settle down with. However, he met someone he had allot in common with and things changed. He is now the father of 4 children and they still plan on having more. He's a wonderful father. Who knew?

He can enjoy other people's babies, give them back, and go home. He doesn't have to support them or otherwise be responsible for them.
Just because a person is an adult doesn't mean they automatically should have children. That's a false assumption.
Why do you care whether this guy has children or not? You sound like the office gossip.

There is a huge difference between admiring something from far and having it infront of you 24/7..
Men would like to have kids when they are cute and quiet and not when they are waking up in the middle of night or nagging on them to have cartoon instead of the important NBA game on TV.. That is when they miss the old days..

Maybe he's just bitter or doesn't get to be around babies much.
I don't want kids but l like to hold babies because they are cute. Past toddler age I'm completely disinterested.

Maybe he appreciates the new life he holds but isn't ready to be a father.

because a man doesn't want a lady to know he may have a heart ect... I live babies too but also do not have any, and will not have one... but all my friends have kids and they all love me, but back to the guys, most men say they dont want any kids till they actually have one, you like this guy?
