The levels of classification are:

kingdom
phylum
class
order
family
genus
species

Order is below class and above family.

Say these 7 levels over and over until they stick in you head. Try thinking of them as one big long word.

Phylum
Class
Order
Family
Genus
Species (Most specific category)

My high school biology teacher taught me this pneumonic device that I still remember years later:

King
Philip
Coughs
Out
Flying
Green
Snot.
