It seems like such a long time ago. At that time I still thought Metallica was satanic and I wasn't even listening to any real rock. Anyway, I was on a 5th Grade field trip at an archaeological dig site (The Wickliffe Mounds). When I got on the bus to go back to school I heard a couple teachers say something about airplanes. I had no idea what was going on until my mom picked me up from school. After I realized what happened I thought World War III was about to start. I kept watching the sky for aircraft or nukes. Most of my relatives lived near the Pennsylvania crash site so I remember my mom calling my grandma. At that age it was more exciting that sad to me but now I realize how serious of a day that was. My uncle was working in an office building when he heard a loud crash. He looked out his window and saw the first tower collapse.

I was eating breakfast and watching TV at home just before leaving for work. I was totally dumbfounded! I didn't realize the full extent of the news until after I arrived at my office.
