Hi I am 35 weeks pregnant and I have started leaking, Its not alot but noticable and is enough to wet my pants. I keep checking to see if it is urine but it is clear and has no odour, and feels like it is coming out of my vagina. My friend said that it is my back waters and not to worry. This is my 2nd pregnancy and as I had my waters broken with my 1st, I dont really know what to expect. Please help.

you should call your doc immediately! if your water did break your doc will want you to deliver within 24 hrs or you run a risk of infection!
good luck!

I agree with all the other posters - it sounds like your waters have broken. Mine broke at 35 weeks and I had my baby 12 hours later, so as you posted this qu 21 hours ago you might even be a mother by now!

Even if not, you need to be seen by a doctor who will prescribe you some antibiotics to prevent an infection getting into the membranes around the baby and the amniotic fluid. You will also be checked to make sure the baby is not in distress, and probably also get some steroids to help baby's lungs mature in case he/she comes early. It's likely that you WILL be having baby early, but if you can hang on another week or so that will be a good thing for your baby's maturity. Bedrest for you, I expect! I hope you were organized already (I wasn't!). Best wishes!

You need to call your doctor. There are many ways your water can break and 24-48 hours after that happens infection can set in and cause many problems.

Pin hole- A small hole that causes leakage and is almost unnoticeable.

A Gush- A big gush all at once, highly noticeable.

A Trickle- It runs down your leg, more than a pin hole but not as much as a gush.

Your water can break and you don't have to have contractions. Chances are they will induce you because the infection will put your baby more at risk than a premature delivery.

Good Luck!
