Do the obvious ones first. Pick the most complete box, row, or column to work with next. Then I tend to start writing out every possibility in the boxes and go by process of elimination. Rather than say, "It could be a 1, it could be a 2," I've started saying, "It can't be a 1, it can't be a 2" ... for some reason, that works better for me.

I would agree with Perfect. When I do sudoku easy or hard, I look for the ones I'm sure that I can fill in for sure and not mess up the puzzle because 1 mistake will mess up the whole puzzle. Also, another strategety that I tend to use is to be patient because if you aren't patient while doing hard sudoku then your obviously going to mess up unless your the best in the world at the puzzles.
