cara-mel (from the south) My husband, who was born and raised in Michigan, says car-mel. It's annoying. He also calls the Atlanta Falcons the "fall-cons." Speaking of pronouncing things, my grandmother calls Taco Bell "tacko bell." I love old people. :)

I would think it depends on where you were born like tomato , herbs etc.
