state to state it varies.....he can be ordered any amount a judge chooses but usually there are guidelines...probably around 15% of gross and only a certain amount of his disposable income (defined as income left after taxes)...here in florida we can only take 60% on one case and 50% on two or more

its a third of income in most states and it depends on if thw mother is working also he has to have insurance in most states
