It depends on if there is any dirt/hair/whatever on the floor, in my opinion. Even if the floor hasn't been cleaned in a while, the M&Ms should still be good as long as they aren't covered in anything. I would eat them at least..

i hate that.....the bag always rips when you are trying to open them...and the friggin fly everywhere....i pick em up and throw them away..and cuss all the way back to the store to get more, if I didn't buy two bags to start with.
