I've seen a con make complete crap up and people believed him. Then the guy said he was just joking. Yeah, sure.
It's not just cons though.
One time some con posted that Al Gore laughed when Oliver North said Osama Bin Ladin wanted him dead and that's why he needed an expensive security system.
It was a lie, but the liberals on the yahoo message boards believed it and were just playing damage control.
Not me though. I went straight to the official Oliver North website, where he himself denied it ever happened. Completely humiliated the cons.
