HEY U, LET'S GO WAY BACK, HOW ABOUT THE CHATTANOOGA CHOO, CHOO ???? THAT WAS PERFORMED BY TEX BENEKE AND PAULA KELLY & THE MODERNAIRES AND OF COURSE GLENN MILLER AND HIS ORCHESTRA. IT CAME OUT IN 1941 (MAY) AND WAS THE FIRST TO BE AWARDED THE "GOLD DISC" ON THE 78RPM. IN FEB OF 1942. WRITTEN BY MACK GORDAN AND HARRY WARREN, IT SOLD 1,220,000 COPIES. IN 1941-1942 THAT WAS A HUGE AMOUNT OF SALES. IT WAS FIRST RECORDED ON RCA-BLUEBIRD LABLE. THIS SONG FEATURES CITIES FROM NEW YORK CITY TO TENN.
" YOU LEAVE THE pENNSYLVANIA STATION BOUT A QUARTER OF FOUR, DINNER IN THE DINER COULDN'T BE FINER THAN TO HAVE YOUR HAM AND EGGS IN CAROLINA................"

Sinatra had a couple...the aforementioned "New York. New York" and "My Kind of Town", which is about Chicago.
But my favorite is "St. Louis Blues".

Kinda corny, I know, but I like Lights, by Journey. My husband insisted I learn to travel, but I got really homesick, and that song said it all. (except I'm not from San Fran, lol.)
