Ok Guys if your girlfriend was a big sports freak.How would you feel.See I love Fottball and F1 racing..I like the other sports but these are my favorites.My boyfriend also likes them but gets mad and me when I really get into a game..I do not understand why...I still take care of his needs during a game or race,But he treats me alful about it...So how do you guys really feel...

I know you said "for the guys" but i thought this was an interesting question because I love football too and my husband and I actually bond on Sundays and Monday night. We are high-fiving and drinking beer and eating football food all day together on Sunday even if other people come over to watch the games w/ us - its still our football day. It's so much fun to cheer w/ your spouse and I don't know how long ya'll have been together or how serious this relationship is but I think you could find a man who would love a girlfriend to watch sports w/ real easily - at least judging from the majority of men that responded to this question. But if this relationship is to stay - then maybe you need to have a talk w/ him and explain that you don't deserve to be treated like that and that he's ruining something you love.

There could be a slight ego problem there in where he feels he should know more about sports than you do.
I'm not sure as to when he discovered you knew a lot about sports but I guess he assumed you didn't know much which was wrong on his part.
He should be happy you have a genuine interest and knowledge of the game.

You are what sports guys like me consider the Holy Grail!!!! Why do you put up with it? If my other treated awful for any reason...especially something like this......they would very shortly be my ex-signifigant other. If he keeps it up kick his ungrateful butt out the door!!
He is probably just insecure, and doesn't know as much as he likes to think.....and is scared you will figure that out. Or, he could feel it is his "guy" thing....a mentallity that usually also is accompanied by the belief that women should be bare foot, pregnant, and fetching him a beer!!!!
Girl.....find you a sports guy who is not on an Ego -Trip. Yo u don't need to put up with that crap!!

Honestly I don't know what is wrong with your man unless he feels a little compitition between him and his woman. My wife watches football and NASCAR with me, only when it is a big game or race. She still gets into it. I like women that watch sports with me. Hey, girls can get more rowdy than guys at games!!!

My girlfriend is a big sports freak and I love it! We have season tickets to the Chiefs and Royals and spend a lot of time together watching and playing sports (coed softball and volleyball).

if your seriously a sports fan ok, thats every mans dream girl. however, some women like sports simply to look at the guys. how big they are, strong, muscular, etc. and men don't like that one bit. so it sseems as though he's not comfortable w/ himself, thinking that u like football possibly to look at the guys and their tights., not because u enjoy the game

Guys like to watch games with other guys. Its just that simple. Nothing personel but it is just a guy thing. Do you guys like the same team? That could be one thing he might feel that he is a bigger fan then you and you dont have the right to get into the games like he does. I dont know.
