Aww, I remember my first time to Vegas....
Cheap place to drink is any casino, all you have to do is play a little and the waitress will come around. If you tip her she comes by often. Another place where everything is cheap - Freemont Experience - I think this place rocks. Where else can you get a frozen daquiri for $12 and is the size of a dwarf.
All the clubs on the strip are hot. Like before mentioned bring comfy walking shoes. Or you can ride the Deauce (public bus) which is great because it runs 24-7. $5 buys you a 24hour pass. Cabs are nice too but the lines can get pretty long.
Pre game in your room if you plan on drinking. Souvenir shops sell beer and such.
Try to enjoy the Bellagio water show - it play every 30 min between 3 - 8pm. Beautiful!!! conservatory inside. Buffet here is also pretty good.
Venetian is based on Italy - walking around in the shops makes you somewhat feel like your in Italy. Gondola rides are $15 inside and $12.50 for the outside.
You can hit all the casino in one day - the best iternary for this is on Vegas.com. This website offers great deals, we got the best package from here.

Take some nice walking shoes - cause your going to walk a lot!
Try a buffet, the one at the Rio is pretty good, but I think all the casino's have them?
Check out the bars that have the flair bar tenders, there is one outside of Harrah's - just off the sidewalk - that one is a hoot. There is another one inside Treasure Island - I forget the names. Get discount show tickets from the 1/2 price day of the show ticket brokers - numerous booths on the strip.
Tried lots of restaurants when I was there, the best meal we had was at Mesa Grill in Cesears Palace. Not cheap though.

Play nickle slots until the cocktail waitresses bring you drinks. Go to the buffet at the hotel you are staying at. Enjoy the scene at the swimming pool.
