I have to make a Totem Pole for Homework tonight. I need 5 animals, and Im just not sure what animals to do. I think if i knew meanings of animals then it would be easier. Do you know where i can get that info??

I wanted to use maybe an Eagle for strength, and then like maybe like Owl for eyes. But im not sure, any help?

Try this scheme...

Turtle: the basis of the world ("Turtle Island"), on the bottom to support the whole, as the basis and strength of our image.

Bear: Nurturer and protector, from whom we learn to care for our children and those who are ill.

Wolf: loyal protector and great hunter, who keeps his family strong and close.

Raven: trickster, revealer of secrets, who has helped man in every crisis since the Creation.

Eagle: on top, closest to the sky, for Eagle carries the prayers of man to the ears of T'eh'Tanka
