The way privatization was FORCED onto Russia was a failure.

Privatization allowed for foreign nations and NGOs to take control of Russian sectors and essential “bleed Russia”. You will have COUNTLESS cases when foreign bodies and nations have interfered in Russian privatization. THIS IS ILLEGAL IN ALMOST ALL LIBERAL DEMOCRACIES. But for some reason (we know why all right) they thought it would be fine in Russia. For THIS reason privatization is such an important issue for Russian official that needs TIME and CARE to fully implement.

So, Russia faces obstacles, but it is successful none the less.

In some ways I think one must say there has been some success. Like any major changes there are failures, problems, waste. Besides alot of Russia still operates similarly to the past in terms of gov't controls. If the people are generally happier I would say some success has been achieved.

From what I understand, privatization in Russia is an oxymoron.

Even the companies that have been "privatized" still answer to bureaucrats.

Eventually it should be a success.

Because the people of the country had been used to being hand feed everything in their lives they didn't know how to handle a free society.

Which is what this country is turning into, a society that wants everything had feed to them.
