If it's definitely something you want to change, you should start with figuring out what it is that you hate about people.
You have to be specific so you can focus on the smaller issues first and move up to the bigger stuff.
When you begin to be ok with one thing that bugs you, move on to the next, then the next, and so on.
Before long, people aren't so bad anymore, and maybe you've made more friends out of the whole process.

For me it's more that many people annoy me with their ignorance. Try to find something that will distracts what bothers you about people to try and enjoy them
