I'm looking for Chert or Flint suitable for knapping. I live in Whitley Bay, you can look it up on Google Earth, its in England. I dont want to buy the Chert or Flint, I wish to find it in an natural envirnoment, does anyone know where abouts I might find it in my local area of newcastle?

If you go to grimes graves in Norfolk, they'll show you how to do it (knapping)

Otherwise look for chalk in your area.

flints are found in chalk
