does my dog love me? I certainly love him.
the comedian ralphie may does a bit about sigfried and roy getting ate by a tiger and it just raised a question with me. can a tiger like you or love you? if you hand feed a tiger a steak every day for like 2 years and then stop feeding him will he eat you just as fast as a tiger who was equally hungry but had never seen you before and would a tiger that you had been taunting for two years eat you faster or slower than any of the two before mentioned if he was equally hungry?

Tigers are different from dogs or housecats. Among other things, we've bred out most of the wildness from animals we consider pets.

Secondly, people taste terrible. Even wild tigers don't eat humans very often at all - unless they're sick or starving.

I'd say if you've been taunting a tiger for two years and he got loose, yes, he'd demolish you. Of course, your neighbor's dog would do the same thing.

To get to the core of your question: yes, animals can both love and hate. Anyone who's owned a pet will tell you that.

Sure a dog would, or a cat....they are domesticated...A tiger, being a wild animal, would love you for dinner..
.Of course wild animals can be "trained" but not domesticated. You can't trust them and love is not an issue

Watch the Dog Whisperer on NG. Dogs live in the "NOW".
You can get their respect and trust which are a part of loving.
I believe my dog loves me as she is always more excited to see me than anyone else at the Groomers and Vets. Though I know it could be that she remembers I give her treats and affection.
I like to think she loves me, I know she respects me as her "pack leader"

Your dog loves you and the tiger you fed would not eat you as fast as the wild one.But he probably would eat if you were stupid enough to put it to the test.

Yes, more than people.
I tell you a story, but, I not real sure it true.
There was a forest fire long time ago. They found a Hen (Chicken) burned to death with her wings spread out. When they lifted her up there were her chicks safe and alive.
But, I just heard this and not sure it is true.

OK, I searched this and I guess it not true, but, it sounded good.

its hard for me to say this, because i love animals, btu they can't technically love
animals dont have souls, so its impossible for them to 'love' but by instinct they will be loyal and friendly to those who treat them kindly. Tigers that have been tamed are safe because you treated them kindly and they probably will nto harm you, they usually don eat if tehy are not hungry
but you shoudl always be cautious cuz wild animals are unpredictable
