I'm a little confused, at first I thought she was his guide, an angel or something, but now I'm thinking she left him and is still alive....thoughts?

Livia is alive. A couple of episodes ago, she explained to Dan that she had been a "journeyman" before she met him and she had not traveled for some time so she had thought it was over. Then it happened to her when she "jumped" while she was on the plane prior to it crashing.
Since she would have had no explanation to say why it was that she survived and no one else did, and she was not on the plane and suffered no injuries, she "faked" her death and just disappeared

i wondered that too. But it appears that she survived the plane crash and never went back to him. Last episode he had the chance to ask her why she didnt come back to him, and he never asked the question. She did seem sort of sad that she left him, but she as a journeyman doesnt want to mess with the way history went and so she cant get him back.

Perhaps we will find in the finale of the series that he was dreaming and they are still married, that he woke up the day after the plane crash and she was found alive. Perhaps the show is meant to show two journeymen who are supposed to get back together and end their journey job's so they are together and that the boy is really their son. who knows.

NBC finally has brought us some shows worth watching.

Life, Journeyman, Chuck, and some other new ones this year are actually pretty good. They all seem similar but it is better than that other drivel they have had in the past, and i am certianly so sick of those CSI, Law and Order, and other kinds of shows like them. Its about time we got something good on tv to watch.

I like House of Payne and the Office also, but other then that... House is ok, and a couple other Fox shows.

From what I understood, she is alive.
Seems she never got on that plane, but chose to disappear as she too travels in time. I do hope they start explaining a bit more of all this mystery?
Good Day!

To Evangelicao, Loved the idea of this being a dream, just like "JR"! in Dallas! Thank you ;-))

I think she is a journeyman herself and is still alive. She just doesn't go back to him like he does to his current family.

Livie is still alive and travels back and forth in time just like the star. The difference is that she has been doing it for a while, so she has set herself up financially and emotionally so that she has no ties to the present (faking her death). She doesn't stay in the past, she flops around like Dan does.
