Theatre_gurl is right, it would really help to know the shows & roles. Generally I recommend choosing something not only in your range, but something that shows similar character traits as the character you are auditioning for.

Heaven Help My Heart - CHess
Class, Nowadays or Roxie - Chicago
Who Will Love Me As I Am? - Side Show
Stars and the Moon - Songs for a New World (Be careful with this one, some accompanists refuse to play Jason Robert Brown songs)
They Say it's Wonderful - Annie Get Your Gun
The Girl I Mean to Be or HOld On - The Secret Garden

Also, look at songs from Anne of Green Gables and Little Women.

good luck,
Marianne

There are tons of great songs out there for alto's, but in order to narrow it down it helps to know what show's your auditioning for so that the suggestions are relevant.
The song should be in the same style of the show, so for example you wouldn't sing One Song Glory from Rent if you're auditioning for My Fair Lady.
