I had a friend who was taking all kinds of homeopathic remedies for hypothyroidism and also going to energetic healers etc. This went on for 2 years. She was an utter mess physically and emotionally and all her friends feared for her life. Then, she finally broke down and started taking the thyroid hormone medicine that her doctor gave her. Lo and behold! she immediately felt better, happier, healthier and has been remarkably productive and healthy since.

Making dietary changes is your first line of defense in treating hypothyroidism. Learn here https://tr.im/hmf9H
Many people with hypothyroidism experience crippling fatigue and brain fog, which prompts reaching for non-nutritional forms of energy like sugar and caffeine. I’ve dubbed these rascals the terrible twosome, as they can burn out your thyroid (and destabilize blood sugar).
1. Just say no to the dietary bungee cord. Greatly reduce or eliminate caffeine and sugar, including refined carbohydrates like flour, which the body treats like sugar. Make grain-based carbohydrates lesser of a focus, eating non-starchy vegetables to your heart’s content.
2. Up the protein. Protein transports thyroid hormone to all your tissues and enjoying it at each meal can help normalize thyroid function. Proteins include nuts and nut butters; quinoa; hormone- and antibiotic-free animal products (organic, grass-fed meats, eggs, and sustainably-farmed fish); and legumes.

For a hypothyroid you would want to use something with the Natural Source of Iodine.
Nature Sunshine has a product that works really well and in 4 months it can fix the worst thyroid 95% of the time.
Any other information you would like to know just send me an email since I run a Natural Health Store I could help you out possibly.

This is bunk. If you have complete destruction of your thyroid gland (usually due to autoimmunity), then the ONLY way to keep yourself alive is to replace that missing thyroid hormone. Untreated severe hypothyroidism can lead to myexdema coma and DEATH. Just like a Type 1 diabetic needs insulin to live (no exceptions), a person who makes no thyroid hormone also has to replace that hormone.
There are NO miracle cures that can stop autoimmunity and regrow your thyroid gland. There are also NO herbs that can replace thyroid hormone, or they would BE thyroid hormone. Lastly, why would you WANT to try and replace thyroid hormone with something else? That's like needing a heart transplant and asking for a kidney.
Just as a severely diseased heart needs to be replaced, so does your thyroid. In this case, you simply need to take a thyroid hormone replacement pill since your thyroid gland is no longer working. It is not a medication per se, it is not a drug. It is an outside source of a *naturally occuring* hormone that we all use to live.
Maybe one day we will be able to reprogram the faulty immune response seen in autoimmune thyroid disease, regrow a thyroid gland, and/or change the genetics involved in thyroid disease. But we are not there yet, and homeopathic remedies will do nothing other than take your money and risk your health for a fairly simple to treat condition for most. Why do that?
If you must feel the need, keep taking your thyroid hormone and spend the dough on homeopathy. Follow up with your doctor. If you thyroid levels become higher, and it looks like the alternative treatment is working, slowly adjust your thyroid hormone dosage with your MD. But DO NOT stop taking a needed hormone! Anyone who tells you to do so just wants your money and is putting your life and health at risk.
To my knowledge, homeopathy has never "cured" anything other than colds, the flu, and stress, things that go away on their own. In either case, never stop your regular medical treatment without an MD's OK.
Anyone who disagrees with this is trying to scam you, is irresponsible, ignorant, or uneducated.
P.S. Iodine deficiency is a VERY rare cause of thyroid dysfunction in the Western world. Iodine will only help if you actually have an iodine deficiency. Since table salt in the West is iodized, it is virtually unheard of to have iodine deficient thyroid disease. Most cases are caused by *autoimmunity*, which in fact autoimmune thyroid disease can be made WORSE by excess iodine.

If you are seeking something natural.....why not try a medication that is natural called Armour thyroid. You get a medication that supplies you with needed hormone and you get something natural at the same time. I have been on it for 4 years. It works better on me than the T4 did. Links below.
