My 13year old grandaughter is very special to me. I saw her come into this world and over the years we became very close due to the fact her mother is an addict and alcoholic and also bi-polar. I felt it was to help this child that I was put here. My mother died in 1980 at 58 from a brain hemmorhage. This is kind of strange because I haven't told anyone else this, but since my grandaughter could talk at two years of age, she has said ," I used to be your mommy and you were my little girl." Isn't that something!

My granny. When I was little, I would call her, and tell her that I was left at the house all alone with nothing to eat. She would then let me come over, cook this big meal, let me eat, and send some more home with me to eat later. When I got older and started playing Trumpet, she would be the face I would see in the stands. (besides my mom's of course) I can call her up now, and ask her to make key lime pie, and the next day she is at the store getting the ingredients. She is always thinking of her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Now, her eyesight is poor and I sometimes take her to the doctor, when I am not in class. I don't mind because she has always been there for me, and it's good time to just sit there and talk with her about the knowledge that she has.

My cousin Shanna - she's actually my third cousin, but she's honestly like the sister I never had.
She's just awesome - I don't even know how to put it into words how much I love her. If I ever have a problem, I know I can turn to her and when I get to see her (which is about once or twice a year b/c we live in different states), we just have SO MUCH FUN!! She also just had a little girl about two years ago and I'd basically do anything for the both of them.

It is now my Husband... we have been together for 3 years now... he is the only person who has truly loved me other than my Grandparents.
It would have been my Grandfather... He was a Minister, and I don't mean a Bible bashing screamer... he was serious and quiet and sure... he was a true Christian in every sense of the word... he lived it... he bought me a pony when I was a small girl... each night he would let me sit on my pony, and we would walk for miles as he told me stories from the Bible... my pony wasn't broke yet so it was very exciting at times and I still have the scars from it... I love every one of them... and each time I'd get thrown... he would make me get back on... go slow and steady he would say... I've never forgotten "slow and steady"... it has gotten me through some pretty tough times. It just about killed me when at 12 my mother informed me that he wasn't my "real" grandfather... Well... He Damned sure is/was and always will be! some folks are just plain mean.

My older cousin, who is also my Godmother. She's the real angel in our family....taught in inner-city schools for many years, since retirement has devoted her time to taking care of those less fortunate, and even at our ages, she's become a mother figure of sorts to my sisters and I. She has the uncanny ability to know just when to send a thinking of you card, or leaving a funny little message on the answering machine. Every family needs someone like her.

My uncle Boob (Edward) lol. Back when he got the nick name it had a different meaning I think !!! He was the Sunday School Superintendent so I saws him on Sundays and at other Church events. Plus going to his house etc. He also drove my school bus for all my years in school. So I saw him a lot !!! He also walked me to the door of my room
when I started school in first grade !!! That first morning when I jumped off the bus he took my hand and walked me into school and showed me where my room was !! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect role model and he was my uncle too !!!!! He is in his nineties now and just as handsome as ever !!!! I love you Uncle Boob !!! I had an Uncle Babe and an Uncle Punch too !!!!

My grandson. He is a miracle baby born at 25 weeks of 1 pound, 1 ounce. My daughter died with an aneurysm and they were able to save the baby and her organs for donation. Matthew is 5 and has a clean bill of health. His story appeared in the news media.

Not counting my children and grands who rank up there as #1 -
Gee - don't have siblings...aunts and uncles are all gone...only three cousins left, none of which live near me ...lemme see...I guess I would have to say a distant cousin whose nickname is Sweetie Pie because she is such a sweet never changing person with a quick dry wit We are two years apart in age.
Although she lives in my area, her hubby is 'wealthy' and they travel in a different social circle...so we don't see each other often...lol

I don't have too many living relatives left, but it is my cousin Lynne. She is 5 years older than I am but like a sister to me. When I was young she used to call me a "pill" though, LOL. My sisters called me "da brat"
