Who said Ron Paul is a hero?
you would be the best you obviously care about the child. Unfortunately we can't tell them who to look up to. You can suggest:
How about Johnny Rivers? Talented singer, never got lost in the LA shuffle ,very successful, very decent human being.
George Chuvalo: Lost 3 sons and a wife to suicide and kept his perspective, well respected, talented boxer that fought Ali twice, never knocked down.
Roy Orbison: Talented hard working singer, lost his wife in a motorcycle accident and his two sons a few years later in a house fire in his fireproof house but kept on keeping on.
John Mc Cain: American POW in Vietnam held for 6 years, refused to leave till his whole command was free.even though he had been crippled and disfigured by the gooks.
The father of Jessica of Jessica's Law who turned his horrible grief to a force for good after that animal john cuehy stole, held, repeatedly raped and then buried his 12 year old daughter alive?
You know people that have been through some of these things in your own life and don't know it.
A girl and I don't know her name came with John Mc Cain to our town. She had been wounded in Iraq and kept quiet about it till she was wounded again. She wanted to stay and help her fellow soldiers.
hero's are all over.

How about you?
They see the big people on TV all the time. They see you every day, and for a large part of that day.
You , as a parent, are the most important person in the world to your children.

I think the best hero's are people you know in real life. Do you have any neighbors, friends or relatives who are fire fighters, cops, or in the military, or just "ordinary" folks who are really committed to making life better? Let your kids get to knows these people and see that they too, can grow up and help people. Celebrities are over rated as hero's.

Ghandi. He's a good one. Peyton Manning. He is a stand up kind of guy. Otherwise, you could become the role model or hero for them.

How about their parents?
Try living as an on site example of what a person of integrity is about. Looking outside the home is like saying you want someone to do your job for you.
If you are determined to find someone else, how about Jesus Christ?

A sports star who gives something back to the community, like Cal Ripken Jr., David Robinson, or Jerry Rice. (I know they're all retired, but they are examples).
Or Ronald Reagan.
