I didn't do kindergarten, but my absolute favorite was fourth. It was the first time I did geography and we had a book called "Visits in Other Lands" which I loved. Just a few years ago I found a copy of it in mint condition - not a bad feat since I did fourth grade in 1961.

Grade 5, the higher the better.
