Smokin a bit of bud can take your mind off the world dragging you down, thats how i like to cope with it, however not everyone is as relaxed about this kind of thing.

Everyone goes through time of feeling down, wether its becuase of problems with, work, school, family, friends, relationships etc.. maybe if you try to sort out the things that make you feel like your getting dragged down and problems you might have you will feel better. Remember there is always someone worse off than you in the world, ( unless you really are that unfotunate), think about the good things in life. I love my friends and spending time with them always makes me feel better, try and enjoy yourself and take each day as it comes as a new day.

I rely on God. Whenever I get into a situation where there's nobody who could help me and I'm completely down, I go to prayer. If I'm not that far down but still bummed I might go hang out with a friend and do something to take my mind off of it. Eventually if none of that works I talk to Dan one of my church's counselors. He usually listens and advises me what to do. He also recommends what scripture verse or verses I should read. Like the one where it says that "He(God) will never leave me nor forsake me." The simply comfort of knowing He's there when I have nobody else and when I'm in moments where I wish I could run away from myself He is my helper in that time of need. Or I simple remember what Jesus did for me and it brings a warm, calm feeling to my heart.

sometimes i get down, then i get angry, then i seem to make others feel bad about themselves subconsciously, which makes me feel bad. but, that was a while back. now i know enthusiasm. you got to be enthusiastic about the smallest things. when you walk, don't just walk. as they say, put some spring into your step! even the most trivial and boring task can be made interesting with some creativity and... determination.

I separate myself from it. I don't watch the news unless it's really important. I get most of my updates from the radio music station news, the newspaper headlines and Yahoo! headlines.

I stay away from people who are needy. They tend to drain me of my energy, leaving little or nothing for myself.

I try to attract fun people who like to tell stories, joke around, have projects to share.

I play with kids. I get on the floor and play! I talk with elders to see what they can teach me.

I listen to oldies and soft rock most of the time. Jazz, punk, hip-hop nuts me up and makes me go insane!!!

I stay away from gory movies. My son had me watch "Saw II". I can handle that about once every year or so. They tend to create rage and weird thoughts. I like biographys, dance, love stories, Cinderella type stories, sit-coms, and things that are more fun than intense.

You just need to remove yourself from things that can bring you down and surround yourself with happy things. It took me 60 years to figure that out!

Just realize that 99% of peoples problems are self-induced by decisions made in the past.

And that despite popular complaint, you can make something of yourself with hard work, education and determination.

Its true.

Actually, I try to ignore it. I am so happy in my own little world, in my own little house, with my puppy, and my gardens, and my family. I do have my politics, but I do my volunteer work and that is that. I just do not worry. Tomorrow is simply not worth it. Hell, I just might not be here then.

Easy, I don't think about it. The more you think, the more depressed and angry you get. Just blank your mind and don't allow yourself to get concerned with these things. They will no longer have any power over you and you will be at peace. It is what Taoists refer to as the "Mind of Nothingness" and it really works!

Rise above the BS and fight for what you want. Good things will not come to you, you need to go out and get them.
