There are too many variables in proping a boat. Weight, Hull design, Horsepower. just to name a few but if you want very good low end or "out of the hole" power a lower pitch is the way to go they allow more slip and the engine gets in the power range faster. While a high pitch prop will lug out of the hole it will increase your top end.talk to a service shop they have "prop calculators" to help decide

This takes a bit of research. You need to know the size of the boat, size of the engine, type if boat, and then decide what you want the performance level to be. Call a master craft dealer. They will be able to tell you instantly. Other wise look on line for any prop manufacturer to figure out the best pitch.
