I am doing a project for Texas Cultural history and I have read a bunch of books, but Asians in Texas have not been mentioned as much as I would like. If there are any Asian Texans who can give me some help, I would appreciate it. If you are of mixed blood that is great as well. I would like to hear, first hand, what you think Asians have contributed to Texas culture, why your Asian family left the home country, and why they chose Texas to settle. I know how most of the Asians were treated in the "old days" in Texas, but I wonder how the new genereation is getting along. Are you treated differently? Any imput like that would be greatly appreciated.

My ex husband is Vietnamese. They settled in the panhandle of Texas because they all ready had relatives here. He has done very well for himself. He owns three businesses. We have two grown children together. They are all going to Vietnam after Thanksgiving to visit family for two months......
