From the responses, it appears that many are treating this question as if one were offered the powers of a dictator, rather than a President. In reality, of course, there is the issue of checks and balances, i.e., you still have to deal with Congress, where legislation is made. But I'll indulgence in the fantasy for a moment, and play along:

1. Abolish the IRS and replace it with the FairTax plan. Infinitely better, fairer system.

2. Implement a Manhattan-Project-size program to find the answer to our energy predicament. Pour massive amounts of money into research to find the holy grail of energy sources--cheap, efficient, non-polluting, renewable.

3. Establish a line-item veto and use it often. Cut out a lot of the pork, reduce the shenanigans, lower the waste.

1. I would do away with the current American Tax Code and the Internal Revenue Service and replace it with a Fair Tax, Americans will spend more if they have more a Federal Sales Tax will ultimately bring in far more revenue then Income Tax, Death Tax, etc...

2. I would take on the 800 pound Gorilla of Social Security, it is broken and needs to be fixed in order to assure that every American has the promise made to them kept.

3. I would end or cut funding for programs that do more harm then good. For example Welfare is a good idea but has become a crutch for some people, by cutting funding and regulating it better more Americans will be able to use it in a time of need and get back on their feet.

1. Secure our borders. Push legislation that increase sanctions on illegal aliens.

2. Try to be more responsible with the government dollar. I think we have some spending issues to sure up.

3. Pull out of the United Nations. We are supplying 27% of the budget (billions of dollars) of the UN-- to do what? The United Nations is a way for other countries to use us. I'm not saying it's purpose was not true, but the ability to accomplish ANYTHING is not there.

TAX the rich and give it to the poor?!!!! are u nuts?! i admit that i don't make a lot of money but i would never want that. why would u tax them more? just because they make more money?! what a stupid reason to tax them more. it totally destroys the incentive to get rich. and oh by the way the top 1% of wealthy Americans payed 50% of taxes. compare that to the poor who payed 3%. i bet your voting for Hillary aren't you?
