yes, im ashamed of it, its hard to deal, i hide it from my parents and i'm away at college now which makes it even easier. I've been finding myself staying home and away from my classmates because i'm afraid of any of them getting so close that they find out. Only a few friends from back home know..
i've been trying to stop, but like i said, im ashamed and i refuse to tell anyone... my boyfriend knows, but i wont let him get help for me, secretly i want it, i want someone to report me so that i can get help, but i dont want to be a disappointment to my family so i continue to internalize it and hope it will go away some day... it takes a second to do it but the scars last a life time... im afraid that even if i seek medical help that its not gonna do much, the scars will always be there and my thoughts of myself and life will always be there too...
if you have someone close to you, tell them you want help... it is worth trying, im just to afraid of what my friends and family will say when the find out how i feel about myself that i keep it to myself

Yes back when I was really young and depressive. I used to sit and carve shapes or gashes into my arms. I regret it now, I realize it was a stupid thing to do I have a permanent star shaped scar on my arm because of it and when I get tan, it shows up big time. My arms are all messed up from it.

Yes, but after about three years I stopped. And anyone who dogs out people who do it "that is so dumb, why would you" blah blah blah .... don't listen. Yes it is awful, but it's your pain, and their comments are just the ignorance of someone who hasn't walked in your shoes. You will get through it. It may seem never ending, but one day it will : )

not yet. I did think about it for awhile a few years back when my marriage was starting to fall apart at a fast rate, plus I was in college full time finishing up one of my degrees, and very stressed.

Em.. yeah, yet its to no longer look for interest as some ignorant people think of.. Its in simple terms, helps launch discomfort, make you experience extra ideal for awhile.. Prob no longer the final answer interior the long-term..

No, but I know a few ppl who did. It always made me so upset when I'd see their arm. I hate when ppl do this, and I hope they get help for their own sake.

I did once when I was younger. I gave myself a 'tattoo' of initials of a boy I liked. How dumb?
