That was unbelievable! It gave me goose bumps as well.
I think that we all judge a book by it's cover at times, but this proves how wrong we can be. Thanks for sharing that.

I learned not to judge a book by it's cover many yrs ago. You never know what written on the wonderful pages inside someone.
I can't tell you how much that video moved me. It was priceless to see the change in the attitude of the judges. He's so humble, this gentlemen really touched my heart. Thank you so much for sharing, I'm still in tears.

I did not follow your link, but from all the answers, I can guess that you are all talking about Paul Potts. Yes, I saw him on Oprah yesterday, I was completly blown away, and sat there crying. The hairs on the back of my neck were standing up.
I have not heard something so beautiful in all my days.
It seems Simon was flabbergasted also. and he won the contest and now has his first CD on sale. I hope he goes far, and I'm sure he will. What a talented self taught singer.

Wow! I saw him on America's Got Talent. He's amazing!
Of course, Nessun Dorma, the song does it too. When I
saw him on TV I cried. He won't be a salesman from
Wales much longer with that voice. You really can't judge
a book by it's cover. Very uplifting. I gave you a star for it.

Fortunately, due to my career in Special education I learn in my 20's not to judge a book by it's cover. I think of this as a true blessing, but I am human and once in a while I do catch myself doing that but quickly I am reminded. Thank you for sharing this Sage Seeker, it brought me to tears and I am praying for this young man now. What a beautiful human being. I'm going to share this with email friends! God Bless you!

Unfortunately, I sometimes do. We often seem to allow ourselves to get sucked into the whirlwind of daily activities, always trying to squeeze more into the day. We really need to take time and open the covers to read the book.

That was absolutely wonderful. I also caught half of his song on Oprah...I was flipping through the channels and stopped dead when I heard his voice. His talent IS truly a God-given one, I think, and may he do what he wants...spend the rest of his life singing Opera!!

I used to. For several years now I try to catch myself and remind Lady G that all is not what it seems at first, and that includes how one looks.
