He got hurt while fighting Kane so he has been out for surgery and recovering.

No where have you been? He's coming back at Survivor Series and he was very badly injured by Kane in a match. That happened so long ago ! But he will make his return at Survivor Series at the end of November.

Edge was injured after taking a pad bump from Kane (one of his pectoral muscles tore) and he had to take time off to have surgery and to recover.

he was injured AND suspended. he didn't lose any tv time since he was already out recovering, but he did lose 30 days "down time" pay.
