As Dr Frank says, not really. It is often used as an excuse for being overweight but the real difference in weight between "big" and "small" boned people is no more than 5 Kg (for the same height). To put this into perspective, bodyweight varies as much as 3Kg throughout the day through eating, drinking, sweating, urinating and defecating.
Don't fob yourself off with a myth.

Yes, a big boned person has larger hands, shoulder width, and rib cage diameter than an average person of the same height. They are usually of mesomorph body type.

Yes. Ever hear of the words "small framed", or "large build"? Those are terms referring to bone size. Human bone size varies just as much as eye color or hair color.....nature makes us all proportionate, with bone size usually being inherited by your through your genes.

Anyone with wrists over 7.5 inches in circumference is classed as big boned.

yeah i'm big boned. my rib cage and pelvis are massive compared to my friends. but i do have too much fat surrounding my big bones as well.
