My sister's ex is trying to get custody of their son. He has 3 felonies (domestic abuse on a previous girlfriend), sells pot, has been seen beating up my sister in public. He has never spent more than 2 hours alone with his son. Oh, he's also a first year law school student.
Any way, my sister has a lawyer now and the lawyer told her that she has every right to keep the baby from her psycho ex. She's been printing the nasty emails he's been sending her and documenting everything. This morning the psycho ex left her a message saying that he had filed an ex parte for emergancy joint custody of the baby because he's "concerned for the well being" of the baby.
If he's so concerned, why did he only file for temporary joint custody? And then, doesn't it sound like he doesn't have a lawyer?
I digress. I just want to know what the chances are of them getting joint. He's a unfit and he's doing this is because my sister is leaving him (she found weed where the baby could get it).

She's talking to a lawyer. I'm just at work looking up stuff online. Concerned sister. =P
