That would explain at least some of the pure venom and vitriol directed against a President elected WITH the popular vote. This is something I expected most Democrats never expected to see again after two terms of Clinton.
And now they are PISSED that Bush won the popular vote PLUS the electoral college. It also illustrates, unfortunately, how deeply Democrats really hate their own country. And that hate and fear do not sell.

I'll let you know what I'm waiting for:
If a Democrat gets elected President and someone complains about what a lousy job they are doing they CANNOT say they are cleaning up after Bush. I don't know how many times Clinton fans got angry and said that Bush did not have to clean up after Clinton...
Anyways....

He didn't win the popular vote in the first election.....the Supreme Court put him in the White House.
He won the second time due to lies, corruption, skewing facts, making up "terrorists" and their acts...
Bill Clinton will go down as one of our best Presidents.....Bush will go down in history as our very worst.
Our country will never be the same again when Bush and his crooks and thugs leave office.

Both of Bush's elections were near ties. The first was not even a majority of the popular vote.
It's a poor choice to use Bush as an example of a president elected by "popular" acclaim.

Not nearly as much as people are bothered by Bush's incompetence once elected.

I don't know if that's true, but if so, it really says a lot about how many ignorant Americans there are.
