what was it about? what happened in the movie? was it good? sorry i tried renting it but Blockbuster doesnt even have the movie in stock

It's average. It's about a contest to see who can survive the night in haunted house, the contest holder is doing everything he can to scare everyone out of the house. But little does he know that there is a hidden evil that exists in the house.

It's not the best. It seems scary in certain parts, but towards the end, the horror turns cheese. I thought the ending was stupid.
the movie's about a millionaire who offers a group of people $1,000,000 to spend the night in a so called "Haunted House" that was once an insane asylum. They figure it is a quick way to get quick money and leave. All of them are sure it is some made up story just to mess with their heads a little and test their courage. But, once they stay in the house they start to think about the mistake they made in coming there when mysterious things start to happen.
Most everyone dies. You can figure out who will end up living. There's some big name stars in it. Not the best movie I've seen. It's okay.

Haven't seen the original but the remake was good. make sure you don't have a weak stomach as there is a fair amount of gore and torture, but most is just suspense.

Not a best picture type of flick but entertaining to watch. Better than a lot of other movies I've seen.

my brother thought it was stupid, I thought it was okay, and one of my friends thought it was really scary so scary that she had nightmares for 2 weeks, I don't know whats so scary about it though, I don't think it was scary at all.
