say you were sound alseep...your partner is messing around with you while you are asleep. you wake up...they stop and pretend they are sleeping. do you think that is normal??

For them to pretend they WERNT doing it, yes. Very strange.
My man would always poke me with it til i woke up and did something with it!

Well when I had a girlfriend she would mess around with me while I was sleeping. In the event that I would wake up, she would just smile but continue. Actually I think it is pretty normal.

Her partner might have been afraid of her being mad at him.
I would be OK with it if my hubby was messing with me, but I would be irritated if he pretended to be sleeping when I woke up. I would expect he would want to finish what he started. Some people like to be woken up that way. I would prefer him doing that then getting worked up on porn in the middle of the night on the computer. (Not saying porn is bad, I would just much rather him be getting excited at touching/looking at my body than looking at other women's bodies.)

I agree with you....the stopping and pretending they are asleep is just too odd. But, if that happened to me...they wouldn't have a chance to pretend, I do not awake easily when startled like that. They would have an arm flung towards their face...

My husband does this - it's normal. However, if he's messed with me enough to wake me up, then there better be some action. Don't roll over and act like your asleep!!!

Seriously though, it's one thing to wake up and they continue to fool around but to pretend to be sleeping???? I don't get that. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with that Niff.

It's kind of weird. I mean if a woman I'm with wants to play with it then by all means do so but don't pretend that you aren't as that's kind of weird in my opinion.

about 5 years ago a couple was on OPRAH b/c of some similar problems and it is supposed to be a sign that they could have been molested during youth and are carrying out the traits of what happened to them.

if they are pretending to be asleep, they know they are breaking a bond of trust. if they actually are asleep then you are in a whole different ball game.
i know people who swear they woke up in the middle of sex with their partner who was also asleep.
