I would have to say the best gifts are from childhood. So my best gift was my Chrome plated chopper bicycle, followed closely by my Heavy duty BMX bike years later with yellow plastic five spoke star wheels and supper heavy duty forks! Both were the best and no kid had anything like them!
Memories of child hood! :-D

I got pocket warmers last Christmas... and that's all.
I recall my father and mother, and pretty much every adult telling me that when you become one of them, you're gift receiving days (Christmas, birthday's, etc for you lucky s-o-b's that got crap for Easter) take a significant dive in their level of enjoyment. But pocket warmers, what the ****?! It's like being told you're going to be taught how to swim, and then tossed from a plane in the mother ******* ocean during hurricane season!
Wait a minute... best gift? Probably some crappy toy I wanted for months and played with for a few weeks before tossing it aside forever into the box of forgotten useless crap every American child is granted throughout their younger years.

on my 40th birthday, my best friend gave me a plain mason jar with 40 strips of paper in it. One each one was something about me that she noticed, knew or thought. On the outside was a simple lable that said
40 reasons judy is my best friend
Deserve? I dont think we DO anything to deserve a gift, I like to think that when i give a gift, it is I who did something wonderful to deserve people like them in my life.
People who think they DESERVE something from another person in the form of a gift deserve what they get in the end...a lot of time alone

On May 2004 for mothers day, I was pregnant with our 1st son, my hubby bought me a really nice solitaire diamond earrings, at the delivery on August 2004 I had to take all my jewelry off and handed it to my hubby while I was hard at work….. He had LOST THEM.
It took him 3 years, but out of the blue he handed me a small jewelry box with bigger diamonds than the on he lost….. He remembered!
So my best gift is my son, my hubby and all the love that surrounds me

Most definitely life, as "Curlz..." said first, but I don't know that I deserve it, yet. I'm still working on being the best person I can be - and I know I will be working on it until the day I die.
My next best thing is my husband... and I have no idea why God gave me him either, but I am so thankful!!!

A giant box of chocolates from my uncle, whom I'd met for the first time and next to last timethat year.
I don't know what I did to deserve it as you say, but it was very unexpected and always remembered.

I broke my ankle a couple of years ago, i was laid up for 6 months. During this time i got very depressed as i was unable to go out or do much of anything. My children and my boyfriend went out and got me a kitten to keep me company, it was a little female and i named her Kiri. She is a handful at times but i would not change her for the world. x x
