I had my period for one day. It was normal as far as content goes. Usually they last 3-4 days though. Then for a few days after, I had brown spotting. Now I am left with aching as if my period is on its way. Anybody else experience this?

Im 32. Ive had my period since I was 12 or 13. Cant remember. It was medium to heavy flow, which my periods usually are, but only for one day. Actually just one tampon really.
Yes, I am sexually active with my husband.
My period was on time, it was just short.
No, have not started exercising recently.
I am naturally a stressed out person, and my periods have always been regular and on time, so I dont think it could be stress.

I am not sure how old you are, but call your gyn and tell her! It could be an ectopic pregnancy, which means the fetus is stuck in your tubes and if you do not get help asap, it can kill you! Probably will not, but do not delay, get to a doctor right away! Oh yeah, and it can happen even if you are on the pill or some other form of birth control. People often think that birth control is 100 percent effective, but only abstinence is that effective! Another point, is that the pregnancy test can turn out negative when you are really pregnant, especially if there is a problem. I know, I have been told it was negative and I still had a baby! I had to wait to get a positive test, not sure why but I know false negatives and positives do happen!

It may be PV bleeding (post vaginal ) bleeding before a period or in between periods which you havnt already got, do you get me? you shouldnt be having this , maybe go to your doctor and tell her, def not be bleeding just for 1 day no matter weather you are due or not...
I get mines say well it varies usually 3-4days aswell, with no pain at all lucky huh! although not many people are, so go and get it checked would be best option.
Hope this helps, Jen

Depends on lots of factors. Do you exercise a lot? Are you sexually active? Are you young(is this like your 1st or 2nd year of periods)? Are you on the pill? Has anyone in your family had this problem? It can be anything from pregnacy to an irregular cycle. My sister had the latter. She had to go on the pill just to get her body straightened out. I know a gal who excercised like a mad woman and had such a light period if any at all. If ur young, ur body is just trying to figure out what to do. It all depends. Ask your doc is my best advice. Seriously, do the annual "twinky" doc check ups. They can save your fertility or your life. If you're in between, give him/her a call and tell him/her.

It's probably 'cause you just started getting your first period 1-2 and a half years ago..it can be very up and down. But mine always lasts for 3-4 days but it's OK

this happens to me often due to my birth control.
Are you taking any birth control?
Have you recently changed excerise routines?
Have you been stressed out about anything??
There are so many factors that can and will affect your monthly cycle.

could you be pregnant? if so, take a test just in case.
Otherwise, don't worry. Stress and other factors can throw your cycle off.

okay, relax, sometimes the flow stops for a few days, and then it will come back again. mine usually stops at about 8 at night and comes back at about 9 or 10 in the morning.
