Yes but you better know what you are doing.

You can destory a few sensors that are nearby.

MAP sensor
tps sensor

So be carefull - do your homework

The very best cleaner for your intended use is: 3M Complete System Cleaner Part # 08813 there's 16 oz. in the plastic bottle dump the entire contents in your gas tank. It's to be mixed with no more than 16 gallons of gas. It cleans the throttle body, fuel injection nozzles, intake manifold, valves and most importantly the entire combustion chamber. NAPA or Carquest stocks this product.

Spray on solvents can damage this part of the system.
Try a "systems" cleaner that goes in the gas.
I may be wrong, but I think that the idle control valve can be ruined by some solvents.
If may work on throttle body injection systems, not sure.
