i think men and women cheat the same - i have cheated and yes i regret it but in the end those people had cheated on me too, so was i really wrong for doing it? i dont think so. i think it takes a lot of mistakes to learn how to live this life.

I'd say its pretty 50/50. However, I think it's like 40/60 when it comes to getting caught, men just aren't as good at being sneaky in my opinion, I could be wrong though. I have cheated when I was like 16. I cheated on him to get even, I got with his best friend, because my boyfriend at the time admitted he cheated on me after I lost my virginity to him! Bastard! I regret it because I should have just dumped the guy instead of letting some other jerk get in my pants, I was disrespectful to my self and that's what I regret. I didn't enjoy the sex with his best friend but I did love it when I saw my a$$hole boyfriend cry about it when I told him the next day. I was young and immature, I would never cheat on some one now. If I felt the need to be with someone else I'd get out of my relationship because wanting to be with someone else would tell me that I'm not ready to be in a committed relationship with someone. Some people may like the thrill of cheating, but I think it's the weaker people that actually go through with it. It's definitely tempting and we may have thoughts about it, but I guess it comes down to how much respect and love we have for the one we're with, and how much self control and devotion we have because of it. It depends on your morals and beliefs in life that tell you it's ok to cheat, but if the one you're with has different morals and beliefs when it comes to cheating than I think it's hurful, disrespectful, and just wrong. If we can't contain ourselves it's obvious, the one we're with, we really don't deserve. Unless you're swingers or something, in that case rock out, at least you're both aware and on the same twisted page.Whoo! lol On a more personal and serious note though, I would personaly feel sick to my stomach and nothing but guilt being with someone other than the one I'm with. I really hope my boyfriend now is on the same page, but all I can do is trust him until he proves me wrong, hoping that day will never arrive, but if it does, life goes on. I'll move on from then, without him, because I have more respect for myself than to stick around with a guy that doesn't respect me the same way I've respected him. But, hey all people are different. It's all in what we believe and can handle. Everyone has different life styles, it's all in what you really want in life and up to you to make it happen, and nothings wrong with that when you respect and love the ones that respect and love you while doing it.

I haven't cheated and to the best of my knowledge neither has my wife. I think if we had true and accurate numbers of everyone that you would probably see approximately a 50/50 split on men and women cheating.

both cheat, regardless. it would be sexist to say another gender cheats more than the other. me being a female, you would expect females to say men cheat more, and vice versa. i've never cheated but known of my friend's boyfriends and some of my own female friends who have cheated. it wasn't worth it because the relationship ended. if you need more from a relationship that you're not getting from your partner...end it. don't cheat. because in some states, especially well known is California, cheating if forbidden and results in jail time. If you want to spend time behind bars, or be known as the biggest jerk and have people thinking you're "dirty" and must "have an STD or something"..you would stay away from cheating.

i don't cheat, i have in the past on stupid things but my conscience will not allow it. i think men cheat more because they think they can get away with it--they take more risks. however, women cheat because they are afraid of failing but may not follow through because they are more focused on the consequences.
but the percentage is probably about the same, slightly higher in men though.

men if a girl was hot and ready and there girl was not there they would do it with out using the right head (not thinking) there are some out there that can hold there penis back but very few would unless they really thought they were in love but girls are no better they fall in love or get emotional really easy and that's how most love triangles get started some one screws someone over and then the other Tris to get over it with someone else and the the screw up comes back and they just cant say no then there stuck between two ppl but girls are sluts and whores and stuff like that but men get credit if they ***** someone besides there gf with out them finding out so it depends how you look at it and the men or women you know personally i think women do because most are dirty back stabbing snakes

Women. They cheat and don't even think they are cheating. as in "well I thought about breaking up with him 6 months ago so it is ok if i screw other guys without giving him notice that our relationship is over." At least when guys cheat we know what we are doing and don't come up with retarded logic to justify it. but anyway, I think women do it more.
Although I am a sexist asshole who thinks that women should be property, so my opinion may be biased.

One thing that I am really proud of as a guy is that I've NEVER cheated on any of my girlfriends (even if the temptation and the opportunity was there).
I did not cheat because I didn't want it to happen to me. Plus, most of my siblings are girls. So I guess I never resorted to cheating because I always thought of what my little sisters would feel if they were cheated upon.
I believe that the person who cheated against their partner IS THE ONE who's at a loss. You cheat, it's your loss; not mine.
