None of them have a clue as to what their clients wants needs or concerns are. Wouldn't it be so much better if they did care?

Personally, I think they are in it for the money. This does not mean, however, that they only think about that. To be successful, they need to provide what consumers want. That's what product surveys are about: finding out what the majority wants. Trying to please everyone is not only improbable, it's impossible. Someone will always be left-out or effectively ignored, because they aren't with the majority. Democracy is the same way: whoever doesn't win the election is effectively left out.

I believe, most companies, US or not, care more about the money than they do the clients.
