i started feeding the squirrel around my house now he brings like 20 of his friends over how do i tell him i can;t afford to pay for all these peanuts and they;ve gotta chip in a little cash now and then i don;t wanna hurt their feelings?

I think he'll understand that times are hard when you stop bring out the nuts. He'll let the friends know that the party is over and they'll move on. When he comes over to visit...explain to him the situation and I'm sure he'll understand and forgive you for making him and his friends go hungry for the winter.
