We don't put syrup in the fridge, here in the Midwest. We've always have lived life a little on the edge though and been rough around the edges.

I'm not sure what the maple syrup industry would suggest, but
most breakfast restaurants leave maple syrup right on the table, ALL day! This is probably due to the fact that it pours much more easily at room temperature.

I would surmise from this fact that keeping it at room temperature does it no harm......

However, here in South Florida, when we keep maple syrup in our homes, we worry far more about ANTS than about doing harm to our maple syrup!

It doesn't need to go in the fridge. Im 15 and my mom still puts it in the fridge but the syrup that gets on the rim from the last u poured it gets frozen solid so the lid Is a b**** to get off. Just a waste of space in the fridge in my opinion :)

Depends. Real maple syrup, yes. Fake corn syrup with maple 'flavor,' its not neccesary.

You MUST refrigerate PURE MAPLE syrup (has no preservatives)....but storebought artificial can be left on the shelf as long as u use it within the month - just like they do at the pancake houses like IHOP....;-)

One should do as one wishes....

I'd put the said bottle into the fridge simply to make it more convenient for me when I reach in to gather my milk and condiments for my oatmeal.

I always do, yes. I don't know if you have to, but I think it stays fresher longer.
