I am just thankful that I will not have to look into their eyes and admit to them that I voted for Bush. I can't imagine having to admit to your grandchildren one day that you actually voted for Bush twice. I feel for those people.

yes explaining them that now they will be living through the largest Tax increase in history (400 Billion in the Democratic Tax bill) that will move the lowest rate to include 4 million poverty folks back to paying taxes, and the new penalties for being married that in-turns affect the middle class...But hey they can have "Lowest Bidder Health Care and wait 8 years for a surgery" and more of their disposable income will go to over expansive social programs.... Just figuring how to explain how George Soros bought the DNC...

Gas prices shot up because an oilman president wanted to make his buddies rich.
The U.S. invaded Iraq because an oilman president wanted to get his hands on the oil in Iraq in order to make his buddies rich.
I hardly had money to pay the bills because of gas prices during the Bush regime.
U.S. voters elected him twice (we think) because the economy was rolling in 2000 under 8 years of economic success under Bill Clinton, so people thought "It doesn't matter who wins the election," and he was re-elected in 2004 because "We don't change presidents at wartime."
However, the "great wartime president" made the greatest blunder in American history by allowing murderer Osama bin Laden to escape. He did so because he only sent a handful of troops into Afghanistan to respond to 9/11. He was saving most of the troops for the invasion of Iraq, because the oilman president wanted to get his hands on that oil to make his oil buddies rich.
Bush tried to make himself out to be a "tough, warrior president" when he never served in the military, instead keeping the skies of Texas safe from the Vietcong.

I doubt my grandchildren will care one bit about long ago history. I didn't care what my grandparents thought about the 30's. Times change and there will be new worries when they run the show.

I'll tell them that he was a good President...not a great President, but a good one. and he was under constant attack by the far left liberal nutjobs. I'll tell them that when he took office the economy was starting to slide into a recession, but his tax cuts were able to pull the economy back. I'll tell them that gas prices were around $2.50 when he took office, but he was able to keep gas prices right around the same price for his Presidency, but he was still attacked about that as well as watching out for his oil buddies. I'll tell them that he went to NewOrleans right after the flooding and asked Louisianna governor Blanco what she needed, and she said she needed 48 hours to think it over,so the liberals blammed him for not not acting. And I'll probably go on for quite a while about how during his Presidency the liberals in this country tried to divide our nation rather then do anything to help it.

I would describe this as being a 'golden period' for America where there were plenty of jobs, wages were very high, and stock returns were unparalled. In addition to a very strong economy, we lived in relative safety and morals and values were returned to America after the Clinton era.

Why do my grandchildren have to pay off that debt? Why can't we pass it on forever? You hippies think the country is going to die or something? We can live with debt forever because the country will live forever. Go to economics class and quit getting your views from talking points.
I'll tell them these were the years I got rich.

I've already begun that process. I'm telling them both that this is the era in which honor and courage died in America and the fascist dictatorship of George Bush and the neocons began.
