Fascism, ideologically maybe, not governmentally. Look at college campuses, they will never allow the other viewpoints to be expressed... that's fascism.
governmentally, we still have the freest society in the world. We have been steadily moving towards a Socialist State. It is in these forms of government, when the government controls and regulates so much, that fascism can, and ultimately will arise.
It's been happening for 80 years.

I won't say more but it has to do with the people not only the politics.

If you read about Germany in the 30's there are definitely parallels to the US, especially regarding a feeling of hurt nationalism, a lack of trust in the government, anger and suspicion toward the outside world, conspiracy theories, etc...

I completely agree. With televangelists forcing their political views and trying to influence policy to Republican attempts to destroy our civil liberties, especially with Bush's attempt to illegally wire tap people. Our nation has been going down hill since Bush stole the 2000 elections and then tried to connect Iraq to Sep. 11. We as Democrats need to stand up for the Constitution and stop the far right from destroying the nation.

All the loopholes we have in our government are being worked good by subversive activities.

That is why I have no problem with the Patriot Act and other similar methods of weeding these propagandists out and holding them accountable.
