Ladies, Is spotting between periods normal?

I'm 22, and have been on birth control for over 3 years and I take it very consistently, within the same hour each night. This month on the 14th day of my cycle I noticed a small amount of brown blood. Since then I've had normal discharge amounts, it's just a little darker than usual. I don't want to gross anyone out, but what the heck is going on? Has this happened to you? Should I see a doctor? I feel fine, no cramping, bloating, etc.

It's actually normal when you are on the pill to spot. If there is alot of blood I would go to the doctors. Darker just means it's been "sitting" longer.

Not unusual at all. It could be time to go see your doctor and have your b/c's changed. It sounds like you are having break
through bleeding which can mean your b/c pills may not be strong enough anymore.
I'm going through the same thing with my hormone pills and I
am going to get a new script or have the Dr. increase the dosage to the right amount to where this won't happen anymore.
