I'm super psyched for Christmas this year! I already started shopping for gifts and I'm have a tree decorating party for the first time.

I lived in Northallerton for three years - not very far from County Durham - but right now I live in Nairobi and it's hot and sunny and I don't feel a bit Christmassy, not even on Christmas Day :-(.

I don't know. It's cold so I guess in that way it is more christmassy...I'm not really looking forwards to it...it's a long story involving my mum's death two years ago, my then boyfriend being there to 'distract me' for the past two Christmases and then him not being there anymore...so what do I have to keep me going this Christmas? I know I will be fine and I am stronger now then ever before and I don't need my nasty ex, but I am still not really looking forwards to it...I just hope that this Christmas will be better then I could ever imagine, thanks to my brilliantly funny and lovely new bf :D

Well, it's only Fall here in NY State. Winter doesn't come until December 22rd this year.
Also, it's not even Thanksgiving yet so it isn't time to feel "Christmassy."
And finally, it isn't cold. Here in NY State, it's "cold" when it's below zero. With temperatures in the 30s and 40s during the day, we don't even have our Winter coats on yet.

nope not christmassy yet. But then the whole christmas thing hasn't really started yet, the lights aren't on, theres minimal decoration in the shops and only Argos seems to have started its christmas adverts. I reckon in 2 weeks the christmas spirit will return

I'm with you. I quit my job in retail about 6 months ago and now work in an unrelated field, so instead of dreading the Christmas season, I am looking forward to being able to enjoy it for the first time since I was a kid.

I loooovvvee the Christmas Season. My mother laughed at me in October because it was a lil cool outside and I told her to play Christmas Carols.
I always get into the spirit way early.

i've got not appeared at Christmas enjoying cards yet (and that i could be sending them to Australia, NZ and the U. S.), no tree up, no decorations. basically experience numb with reference to the full component - it somewhat is in basic terms him and me here now so there seems little element in making a brilliant component approximately it. i'm greater counting the days to the twenty first than the twenty 5th, understanding that it will start to get lighter even in spite of if it rather is rather not rather important for a month, and that Spring would be coming.

Could be because all the Christmas ads and sales started going THE DAY after Halloween.
