Winter is nearly upon us. Time for sofa surfing in comfy clothes and putting on the pounds eating what we shouldnt but what we like. What's your favorite? I love steamed jam suet pudding and custard.

This is the perfect time for one-pot food and this is just devine! Take one can of Heinz Tomato Soup and empty into a saucepan. Add half a tin of corned beef and half a tin of new potatoes ( cut into bite sized pieces ). Heat it up slowly stirring now and then until its just bubbling and serve in a warmed bowl. Its very filling so you won't need too much and it'll last for two days. Try it and see what you think.

When I need to feel like a little kid all safe and warm it's mashed potatoes--and if there's butter and green peas to mix in, all the better. On a really needy day, I'll take away the peas and add tomato sauce (ketchup).

If I just need to unwind and get my head straight, then coffee--lattes are the best. If I'm feeling a bit me against the world, then I add Baileys.

For those "I need to chat and get it off my chest" moments it's either a glass of wine or a cup of tea; English style with milk and sugar.

And then there are chips (french fries). There is almost nothing a home-made batch of chips can't fix.

Into summer her in the Southern Hemisphere, following your theme of seasonan favourites.

Lots of fresh orange juice, fruits, salads and a good bar of dark chocolate with any citrus filling, for watching movies.

Agree with you on the winter foods too.

There are few foods I don't like, but Italian and Greek top the list of I REALLY LOVE.

Greek salad is the best salad, Italian spaghetti with meatsauce containing ground beef and mild Italian sausage is the best spaghetti, Kalamata olives are the best olives.

Oh, I could go on and on. I've just learned to make my favorite Italian soup, Pasta e Fagioli. Ummy Yummy!

My favorite comfort food, no matter the season, is a big bowl of air popped popcorn. I have a bowl almost every night. I pop a bowl of popcorn, curl up in a blanket and watch a bit of TV.
