and not give up even when things seem to get rather bumpy.

Will this work or is it just a waste of time?

rhio9, been there, done that.
I had left many a relationship because I was unable to take the pressure, NOT because we were uncompatible

Ehhhh...good luck with this. Gemini's do like to learn, but that's just it. They hate being bored! If the relationship becomes too predictable and stable, Gemini will want out! They want to be continually stimulated and excited! Especially mentally (they are Air Signs, of course). Just keep the relationship interesting and don't try to tie the Gemini down. Gemini (like air and the other Air Signs) hate being tied down and crave some freedom! If it gets bumpy, just logically and interestingly talk it out with the Gemini. They love to talk and think. And if a Gem is really smitten with you, they'll stick around. But you can't teach Gem a lesson that the Gem isn't interested in learning in. Please, keep that in mind.

It is a waste of time, if one wants out when things get bumpy, then one should not be there at all, it is good and bad not just good, and there is a message there that this gemini wants out.

geminis like space and freedom to roam and do wateva and they really tend towards a relationship with less bumps as possible which means they like to be with people or around people that doesn't cause soo much chaos and mess so trying to get a gemini into a sitiuation they hate being in will be hard...and they will want to get out as soon as possible

Thats the only thing that will keep a gemini 'learning' so you are on the right path, he/she will take longer to trust but once they trust you then they will be there for you doesnt matter how bumpy the roads are....

If it ain't working, it's not meant to be. Don't people get that there's this thing called compatibility? If you're with someone who you have to constantly "work at the relationship" with, that means you're with the wrong person. You don't need a 2nd brain to figure that out...do you?

what no thats like trying to teach a whale to live in a tank... just let him be... geminis need to be out and about their flirty and light and guess what there's nothing wrong with that, if he wants to stick around he will do it w/o your persuasion, stop trying to control him... uh i can understand why he wants out
