How can sliced bread be invented. The cutting device would have been invented/manufactured and even then, it would most likely have been used for some other means.
People broke bread at the table in the medieval days.

Possibly normal bread or the invention of the knife to cut the bread.

What about plastic bags to put the bread in, were they around before then.

Maybe the best thing before sliced bread was ..... sex, even tho' its still better than bread now.

Probably store- bought clothes. For a person to be able to walk into a store or order from a catalog clothing and footwear that they knew would fit them was a huge leap from the clothing that had previously been made at home.
Anybody that thinks that sliced bread is is easy to do should try doing it .
Go to a bakery, buy 5 -one pound loaves of bread and then try to slice into 16 identical -in- all -aspects slices.
One will quickly discover that it's almost impossible to do.

Then when sliced bread came in....well.....there ya go.....obviously sliced bread was better than the wheel....I mean you didn't have to deal with the knife and the crumbs anymore......how good is that?!?!?! :)

Well, you must have had bread before you could slice it. You must have also had a knife before you could slice bread. So I am going to say "the wheel". How's that for impeccable logic?
