don't rush it. Take some time to be sad. It's healthy.. don't worry.

I sat around in my grampa's chair for a few days.. cried and told funny stories about him.

Sorry for your loss.

It's hard hon. I'm sorry to know you are sad. Let yourself grieve - it hurts but it's natural and needed. You will start to feel better remembering happy moments with her. She and all of those we love that pass away are always with us in our hearts if we remember the good times. Nobody can take that away from you - that's how you hold onto them. I lost my mother and father very young and my little brother too. All of my grandparents are gone now with the exception of one...so I do know how you are feeling - and I promise you in time you'll be happy again and your grandmother would want it that way. Big ((hugs)) & my deepest sympathy

A lot of people find this strange but...

I work at a funeral home, you see, so I´m constantly in touch with death and grieveing families.

But in my family, we don´t mourn death, we celebrate it. My uncle passed away a month ago and we had family lunches and dinners all week, eating his favorite foods and playing his fav songs, we know he would have loved it, and wouldn´t want us depressed weeping at home.

This is normal for me, but might be hard to get used to for some people.

I am sorry for you loss.
I don't know what your beliefs are but she is where God wants her to be. And you have to find your comfort there because if I were you I would want to celebrate her passing.
A gathering of people with each a story to bring back the joy of who Grandma was and still is.
Once again, I am sorry.

Unfortunately, something like that takes time. Each day you get a little bit stronger, and the pain gets a little bit less. To get through it in the mean time, sometimes it helps to destract yourself. Watch movies, read a book, go for a walk or a bike ride. Something to keep yourself busy while you heal.

I'm sorry to hear that. Time, honestly is all that helps. Just remember that she may not be here physically, but she is always with you in your memories of her and her spirit is always with you.
